From Clover Hill Farm there are many quaint villages and interesting towns to visit within a short drive.
Staithes: Staithes is small, charming traditional fishing village, a great place to enjoy some time beside the sea. You can always enjoy a lovely meal and pint at the Cod & Lobster which is set on the waters edge.
Danby: This is a great day out, see link below for the National Park Centre for up coming events. Whenever you visit there are woodland walks, open spaces, play areas and an exhibition space which provides a fascinating insight into the history and habitats of the North York Moors and celebrates our ironstone heritage. There is also a shop and café onsite.

Runswick Bay: Runswick Bay is one of the Yorkshire Coast’s prettiest destinations with its sweeping, sheltered bay and charming red roof cottages, an amazing beach awaits you. Parking can be limited and needs to be paid for, the walk down to the bay is extremely step, there is also parking at the top of the cliff, where you can find a easier walk down to the bay. You will find the Royal Hotel pub for meals and drinks, as well as the seaside shop & café in the bay.
Saltburn By The Sea: A small coastal town, with an amazing cliff lifts and wooden pier, it really is an authentic seaside experience. There is and award winning beach, for its high-quality seawater, clean beach and its beachside amenities. There is the Victorian Gardens, which is a family friendly park with miniature railway, play areas and café.

Guisborough: A small town situated on the edge of North York Moors National Park. Guisborough Priory, Guisborough Hall and Saint Nicholas’ Church are all worth a visit and the surrounding area provides plenty of opportunities for keen walkers, and a high street with bars and shops.

Grosmont: In the village is the engine sheds of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which you could take a trip out on from here. You can also visit the sheds and see the world’s oldest passenger railway tunnel, built by railway pioneer George Stephenson. There are also regular services on the Esk Valley Railway, to and from Whitby or Pickering for a lovely day out.
There is a circular walk from Grosmont to Beck Hole and back, you can download the directions., there are plenty of lovely walks from here, a guide can be bought at the local shop. A great start for the Gallon walk!
