Restored Circus Wagon

Fully restored on site by ourselves, the circus wagon offers a truly unique glamping experience. Whether you are looking for a romantic trip away, catch up with a friend, night away with a young explorer who wants to do something a little different,  or a solo traveller looking for a tranquil bolthole where you can sit and write your next best seller, this is the place for you. Wake up, open the door and take in the view across the field, trees up to the North York Moors.  (Don’t be surprised if you see a sail going past either; that’s just the boats on Scaling Dam reservoir).

We have kept the interior as original as possible with the addition of plenty of luxury comforts.  Externally, the wagon is fully insulated before being clad in timber and repainted.  Sitting on an original horse drawn dray, the wagon is very compact and utilises clever space saving techniques. The wagon is connected to the electric hook up point, has plenty of sockets, a heater, fairy lights internally, exterior entrance light and exterior lighting under the canopy.  The wagon is furnished with cushions, throws, flowers, circus pictures, ornaments, an assortment of books and games.

There are two fire rings on the pitch; one for a fire pit (included) and one for a tripod BBQ which we hire on site.

We guarantee that you will never stay in anything as quirky as this!

Includes: A raised sofa which lays down to be double bed (slightly shorter than standard double but the same width), all bedding is supplied, throws, cushions,  plates, bowls, cups. glasses and cutlery.  There is a handmade fold up table that can be used and then tidied away, two folding chairs, a bench and a tall storage cabinet.

The wagon is situated in a large grassed pitch surrounded by long grasses, young trees and is close to the wild flower meadow.  Rainy day? No problem. Their is a canopy, with wooden seating for 2 and a small table! There is a fire pit included and a BBQ area if you choose to hire a BBQ kit from us.

There is a shared kitchen on site with fridge, mini oven, hob, kettle, microwave, 2 large sinks, drinking water, hot water and a selection of pans, chopping boards, utensils etc.

There is a bespoke hand built shepherds hut washroom on site, which has three basins, two hot showers with good pressure and two flushing toilets.

As you can see from the pictures this is a small, quirky unit purposefully designed to be compact as it was originally horse drawn. Therefore there is limited floor space, the bed is raised to give storage space. Only available for two people at the most!
