We are a family run camping and glamping site based in North Yorkshire, nestled between the North York Moors national park and beautiful Yorkshire coastline. 

Come and stay in  one of our luxury bell tents, which allows you to have the cosy comforts of home, whilst enjoying the great outdoors and getting unplugged from the rat race of everyday life. We have a wide range of  accommodation types which are suitable for couples, families or groups.  Be it a relaxing few days away from the stresses of work, a hiking stay, a celebration etc we are confident we have something to fit the bill.  Experiences can be personalised just for you.

Alternatively, bring your own tent and hire one of our large camping pitches.

We offer an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Situated only 11 miles from the popular seaside town of Whitby and surrounded by quaint villages, including Staithes, Runswick Bay, Grosmont and Danby to mention a few. There is so much to see and do you’ll wonder how you will fit everything in!

All about Clover Hill Farm

Come and relax at our family run glamping and camping site. We are based in North Yorkshire, nestled between the North York Moors and beautiful coast line, we are surrounded by impressive countryside and close to many interesting places to visit. 

We opened in 2022 and have worked hard to offer a relaxing, peaceful and comfortable environment for our guests. Our bell tent pitches have a electric supply and are mowed, with long grass and young trees between the pitches, to offer a more private feel. Each bell tent has it’s own log burner, fire pit and picnic table. 

In 2024 the restored Circus Wagon was added, which sleeps two people on a hand made pull out bed, this offers a cosy and bespoke overnight stay. 

All our camping pitches are large and come with an electric hook up point as standard, offering a lovely place to pitch up for a couple of nights or longer.  

We have a hand built Shepherds hut washroom, built onsite by Stephen, with flushing toilets and hot showers. There is also a purpose built communal kitchen with fridge, microwave and mini oven. 

There is a large mowed area in the middle of the field,  for communal use, such as games, or for larger groups to spend time together. 

Spending your time away from home at Clover Hill  means you have easy access  to many local attractions and are never far from something new to try.  

Ongoing development

We are passionate about the environment and the impact we all have on it; therefore in 2023  we  planted over 1300 trees and 2200 hedging trees on our site.  Although initially small; over time these will grow and enhance the environment and bio diversity of the site, capturing carbon, reducing excess ground water and creating more wildlife corridors. We have also re-planted what was once the farm orchard, which we look forward to watching grow over the years. 

We have installed owl boxes and bat boxes on site, to support the local wildlife, the bat and owls are great to watch at dusk. 

In 2023 we also planted a wild flower meadow area on our site, as well as looking amazing, this provides bees, butterflies and other pollinators with food throughout the year.

Site Facilities

Washrooms

Our luxury shepherd hut washroom was built by Stephen on site, It houses two flushable toilets with basins, two hot showers (with lots of water pressure) and a separate shared basin with a mirror and hairdryer socket.

Log burners & fire pits

Each bell tent has it's own log burner for that cosy feel on those cooler evenings and a whistling kettle for that essential cuppa! Each bell tent pitch also has it's own fire pit, and picnic table for when you want to sit outside and enjoy the evening. We also offer a tripod BBQ for hire, these are great fun and easy to use for a enjoyable BBQ whilst glamping or camping. Firepits / logs are available to hire for the camping pitches.

Communal kitchen

Compact and available for all to use, this home made communal kitchen houses two sinks, microwave, fridge, kettle, mini oven / grill and two hobs, in case you do not fancy getting the BBQ out. Within the kitchen there are pans, frying pan, baking trays, chopping boards, graters, whisk, peeler, tongs, kitchen knives etc for all to use.

Family run venture

We are a family run glamping and camping site and are here to ensure you have a great time, whether it be for a couple of nights or a whole week. We are on hand to give advice and assistance as needed so you get the most out of your stay.

Each glamping and camping pitch has it's own electric hook up.

The ideal location

When you stay at Clover Hill Farm you are surrounded by great places to visit and lots of activities to do, all without having to travel too far. We are situated between the North York Moors National Park and the stunning Yorkshire coastline We are 5 mins from the A171 offering great accessibility by car or public transport (great if you visit Whitby for a few drinks). From our site you can access a myriad of public rights of way and some spectacular walks. We are a short walk away from Scaling Dam Reservoir and a short drive from Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay that are all too good to miss.
